WHAT DOES AN ADVOCATE DO?

 
  • Write to your Alderperson in support of the library

  • Write to state and federal legislators about the needs of the library.

  • Attend open office hours with the Mayor to voice your support. Find the Mayor's hours

  • Talk to your friends about the library, its role in the community, and its needs.

  • Host a gathering of library supporters to meet your elected Alderperson.  Find your Alderperson

  • Testify at local and state budget hearings.

  • Talk to state and federal legislators about the needs of the library.

  • Call your Alderperson in support of the library.
